CANAECO’s Organizational Structure

CANAECO has a members’ assembly, who elect the Board of Directors for periods of two years with the possibility of re-election in any of the positions. The elections are held during the Ordinary General Assemblies, in June of every year. The directors are ad honorem, which means that they don’t receive economic or any other type of remuneration, for the work they do. They generally meet twice a month.

CANAECO has an Executive Assistant, who reports to the Board and who works in a separate office currently located in the facilities of the Parque del Instituto Nacional de Biodiversidad (Park of the Biodiversity National Institute), INBioparque. Since June 2008, Miss Nathalie Carballo Ulate is the Executive Assistant.
